Peg Clayton was the first woman to practice law in Pastville, PA. She was an active suffragist. Both of her sons died in childhood. Margaret Clayton was an advocate for children's rights all her life. She was appointed to the bench in 1930 and served as a circuit court judge until her death in 1951. |
